Ghemme "Chioso dei Pomi", Rovellotti 2017

We love the Alto Piemonte wines of Rovellotti, as they combine old-school rigor with a modern sense of balance and lift (which may be due to the 15% Vespolina that makes its way into the blend) . Their Ghemme "Chioso dei Pomi" is a woodsy, berry compote-scented wonder that would make an outstanding match with a classic porcini risotto. We love Alto Piemonte wines just as much as we do Barolo and Barbaresco, and we also love the outsized bargains they represent!
