We've long preferred the Coombsville district of the eastern side of Napa Valley as a spot that yields incredibly typical Napa Cabernet, yet with a cool, edgy, almost Bordelaise restraint. Of course, Silverado's GEO cuvée captures this perfectly, offering all the richness and concentration you'd want..along with hints of black olive, slate and a high-toned floral quality. Needless to say, there are top scores on this one from all the usual critics.
