Chinese Qianjiang cai porcelain ginger jar decorated in polychrome enamels and electrified for use as a lamp. The decoration is rendered in rose and shades of green which are the colors of the famille rose palette and is painted with figures of children engaged in play. The ginger jar has been mounted on a turned wood base with a wooden lid and has been electrified for use as a lamp. Sold without the shade. China, Qing Dynasty, circa 1890-1910.  Condition: Vase is in very good condition. Wear commensurate with age and use.
