Chinese ornithological painting on rice/pith paper. These works were prepared in small volumes featuring a particular activity, or ornithological/botanical subject. Disassembled from its original book form, the painting has been archival mounted and framed under UV glass. Chinese, made for the Western trade, circa 1830. Condition: Wear commensurate with age and use.
