Deft scenic tile of girl astride a farm animal (c. 1600's)

A rare Delft faience scenic narrative tile of a girl astride a farm animal directing a dog back to the farm. The scene is framed within an inscribed circle and the corners are defined by spider scroll work, delineated in cobalt under glaze blue. The back has been fitted with felt feet for use as a coaster or trivet. Delft, 17th century. Condition: Good overall condition. Marks, chips, and wear commensurate with age and use.
