"LAZARETTO 6" by Rachel Gibson rubber from innertubes, found objects, stainless-steel pins & styrofoam $245 “For the majority of the world, the notion of quarantine was something apart from modern life until 2020.  Now that lockdown rules have been much loosened, how do we go back?  How many of us find ourselves in a self-imposed quarantine?  Have we developed a second skin?  Do we now have an armor, of sorts, to keep us in a self-imposed quarantine socially, emotionally, physically?   Lazaretto [laddzaˈretto] is a diminutive form of the Italian word for beggar (cf. lazzaro) and refers to a place of quarantine, in the case of maritime travelers, a ship set adrift.
