Feathers for Fibonacci

This set is a tribute to the blending of science, nature and art that is the golden ratio.  In everything from the tiniest seashells to the petals of our favorite flowers we can witness order in the seemingly random.  In this project, you will create components that blend peyote stitch with herringbone for a structural base that is framed with starbursts of shine from firepolish and pearl beads.  The larger feather components hold at their centers a small, beaded ‘spiral galaxy’ for added charm.  These components take form in both a necklace and bracelet that can also be blended together for two different ways of showing off your work.  Of course, don’t forget the drop earrings to complete your set.  Feathers for Fibonacci was our 2021 retreat project - it is perfect for the intermediate to advanced beader.
