The manufacturer of these Tamago pans have been household names in Japan since 1792, and were made famous for their cutlery and other kitchen items. Handcrafted with quality, durability and longevity in mind, they are designed for cooking tamagoyaki, a classic Japanese rolled omelet. The tin-plated copper is anti-bacterial and makes for excellent thermo conduction, meaning the pan warms evenly at a low temperature for the perfect tamagoyaki. Item details: The pans come in two shapes, a square and a rectangle depending on a regional preference. In the Kanto (east) style, the square pan is used, whereas in the Kansai (west) style, the rectangular pan is preferred. Generally, the square shape leads to a wider roll, whereas the rectangular shape allows you to build more layers, making a thicker roll.
