Distant Drums' Rose

Distant Drums is one of the first roses to show her buds in spring with deep purple new growth that grows into dark green foliage. DD flowers have a pink bud that opens to the softest mauve tones and fades toward the center to a creamy brown. Her color is the perfect palette, but what I adore the most about her is the myrrh fragrance. Distant Drums is a shrub rose with continual flushes throughout summer with regular deadheading.
