8 1/8” length, blacksmith made of bar stock imported from England with 4 ¼” very thin blade, suitable for patch cutting and fighting if necessary. Purpose made and not a work knife. The grip made by folding the bar and flattening the junction. A well known form, the survival rate is very low as they were easily reforged into other implements. This example was collected in Connecticut in the 1960’s and bears its old collection number.
