Just over 7/8” diameter (0.90”) pewter or other white metal. Slightly rounded front with engraved toothed edge and conical back loop base (loop lacking) to accommodate thick coat fabric. A civilian button used on a hand sewn officers coat. Purchased at a “relic shack” outside the Gettysburg battlefield in the late 1960’s.
