Initially guided by an idea about color, proportion, or composition, emotional and spiritual aspects are what truly launch a painting. The works beginnings vary, and then continuously change throughout the process. During the interaction of painting, emotional and visual assessment is ongoing. Many transitions occur as the work moves through layers of application and correction, steadily influencing the process until the painting is finished.
