Tarot deck by Maura Gaven. Started in Spring of 2017 and finished in 2019, TAROT was a durational project to design and illustrate an entire 78 card deck of Tarot cards by hand one at a time. Watercolor, gouache, ink. Maura's interpretation of the Tarot deck is personal and gorgeous. Classical and new-classical imagery blends seamlessly with nods to modern art and iconography. Intricate details reveal depths of meaning and, sometimes, humor. Explore every card; you will be entranced. These full-sized cards were locally and responsibly printed in Scotland.
