Forensic Science

Forensic science uses the latest techniques in crime scene investigation to explore cases. The study of forensic science includes basic scientific principles from many disciplines. Topics and labs will include DNA testing, fingerprinting, blood typing, materials analysis and more. Students are exposed to mock crime scenes and use crime scene investigation and evidence collection skills they learn in class.  *Note that case studies in forensic science examine evidence that may be sensitive to some students.   Required textbook: Forensic Science: Fundamentals & Investigations, 2nd Edition
