In 2023, the Nike Air Max 1 Premium 'Shima Shima' returns with a design pattern that was first featured in the 2003 'Shima Shima' pack. The leather upper is adorned with varying grey hues, complemented by brown accents on the Swoosh and mudguard in nubuck. The interior textile lining features vertical stripes, while Japanese Hiragana characters spell out 'Shima Shima' on the sockliner and woven tongue tag. The wedge-shaped foam midsole is lightweight and includes an exposed Air-sole unit in the heel for cushioning.
