Lightnin' was in his late 30s at the time and in the prime of his life. His tasteful, seasoned vocals sometimes exude awe. His guitar moves lightly and freely. This is one of the best recordings of Lightnin's singing and playing style. No one can escape the devilish charm of these extremely dense blues. He truly has the presence of a king.
