Build Big Section 2

The scale of your artwork shouldn’t be limited by kiln size. Making modular sculpture is an accessible and sustainable approach for working in large-scale. In this course we will learn methods of building large-scale ceramic sculpture including historic and contemporary techniques, and the concept and politics of parts and seams. Over the course of 5 class meetings you will build a tall sculpture in at least 2 parts. No prior ceramics experience is required. Submissions reviewed until filled. All are encouraged to apply. Section 2: April 4, April 6, April 11, April 13, April 18, 6-9pm Tuition is $750 including 1 firing and 5 bags of clay.
