Sweet Annie Tincture

My Sweet Annie tincture is made from Artemisinin Annua L., more commonly known as Sweet Wormwood. Artemisia annua has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for fevers, inflammation, infections, and headaches. It has also been a long-time treatment for malaria (Efferth et al., 2008). Annua’s boasts Anti-inflammatory, Antioxidant and Antimicrobial Effects. In addition, A. Annua extracts had some activity against SARS-CoV, the c-virus that caused the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) outbreak in 2002–3. Through antiviral screening, Mateon Therapeuticcs, Inc. has recorded Artemisinin’s ability to greatly inhibit the replication of SARS-CoV-2, the novel c-virus that causes C-19 (Antiviral Res., DOI: 10.1016/j.antiviral.2005.02.007).
