
Witchcraft & Necromancy Flying Ointment
Necromancy gets its earliest origins from the Greek word, nekros, which translates to "dead body", and manteia, which translates to "divination". Combined, that gives us, “divination by the dead”. While historically, there were certainly some gruesome rituals that took place for the sake of communicating with the dead, I believe it has become a much more respected practice, modern day. Today, modern necromancers work with the energy of the dead, rather than attempting to reanimate them, therefore avoiding the desecration of the final resting site and/or the morbidity of unearthing a body. While others might disagree, I consider ancestor-work a form of necromancy. While most of us don't go around digging up bodies and attempting to reanimate them, many of us do seek to communicate with loved ones that are no longer physically in this realm; at least not in the same sense that you and I are. I have created this ointment with this exact desire in mind. No matter what terminology you are m
