Our breadbox creates an environment that balances humidity, needed for a soft interior, and provides the air circulation needed to maintain a crusty crust. It is designed large enough to allow for air circulation, yet it is small enough to fit neatly on a counter top. The unglazed interior helps absorb moisture. The wooden lid, smooth on the top, is grooved on the cutting side for collecting crumbs when slicing bread.
