Early 1954 Leica M3 Double Stroke Rangefinder Camera Not Working

Serial Number: 706360 It shows signs of use. Leatherette is missing on the back of the camera and under the lens mount. The rangefinder superimposed image is only visible when pointing to a strong light such as a ceiling light. All other camera functions work well. Speeds sound accurate. Frame counter and self-timer work. Case and user manual are included but they are in poor shape.
