Stranger to Reason by The Light Gathering Lens Mysticism in rock and pop music dates back to the 1950s. I wrote this song very much influenced by The End by The Doors, but also by some contemporary Egyptian music, and other Near and Middle Eastern music. The lyrics were inspired by the poetry of Rumi, and quotes from Carl Jung.
