Star of Beauty is a spectacular patented purple-red Astrantia. Its flowers have a pin-cushion center of white, loaded with lavender-tipped mini-quills. Dainty size, but very eye-grabbing. Good for cutting or drying. Blooms all Summer in a semi-shaded, moist area. Tolerates somewhat more dryness than ordinary Astrantias.
