Olive Ash Split Wood Baskets

One-of-a-kind sculptural baskets are handcrafted using traditional steam-bending techniques inspired by boat-building. Their overlapping construction echoes the clinker hulls of Fenland boats, resulting in a form that is both strong and lightweight. Each basket is secured with copper nails and roves—a further nod to maritime craftsmanship—and fashioned from sustainably sourced wood, finished in natural wax oil. As every piece is handmade, slight variations in size and shape add to their unique character. Made in England by Jane Crisp.
