Here is an extraordinary clarinet in Eb by Charles Sax, the father of Adolphe Sax (of saxophone fame). Extraordinarily detailed keywork (see pictures) and a great example by one of the finest woodwind makers of this era. Overall this instrument is in good condition, but it will need a rebuild to be playable.Provenance: The Historic Collection. This is from the collection of a well-known researcher and historian of woodwinds who spent a lifetime collecting rare and unique instruments. We are privileged to offer items from this collection for sale.As this instrument is historically interesting we have chosen to not do restoration work on it and leave that to the eventual owner. Please feel free to email with any additional questions!
