Millhouse Ebony 6-Key Flute Circa 1800 Extraordinary HISTORIC COLLECTION

Here's an extraordinary Milhouse flute made of ebony, circa 1800. This impeccably crafted flute was one of the favorite pieces of the former owner of this collection, and it is easy to see why. Ebony body is exquisite with amazing lines and craftsmanship. 6 original 'salt-spoon' keys are in place. This is a very fine piece by one of the most important English makers of woodwinds. Will need some pad work to be fully playable.Provenance: The Historic Collection. This is from the collection of a well-known researcher and historian of woodwinds who spent a lifetime collecting rare and unique instruments.
