Kenya– Embu Ena
Pink Grapefruit, Kiwi, Cherry, Sweet Almond Process: Fully washed and dried on raised beds Embu sits on the eastern slopes of Mt. Kenya. The region shares the same high elevation, mineral-rich volcanic soils, and cool climate as famous Kenyan regions like Nyeri and Kirinyaga — conditions known for producing some of the most vibrant coffees in the world.Coffee cherries are depulped, fermented overnight, washed in fresh water, and then dried on raised beds for about 2–3 weeks. The classic Kenyan washed process produces very clean, juicy acidity and intense fruit flavors. At the factory, Ena collects cherry from members daily throughout the harvest months. The cherry is sorted on arrival for ripeness and consistency and then blended together for processing, a process that takes 2-3 weeks depending on local climate and ambient temperatures.
