Collings City Limits Aged Lemon Burst w/ Throbak P90s

With lots of great vintage inventory floating around the shop these days, we thought we'd do something a bit more vintage-inspired with this latest City Limits from our friends at Collings Guitars. Every now and then, we'll see an old player-grade Les Paul from the early 50s that has "been through it", for lack of a better phrase. Often times, these early Les Pauls reveal some of the more intriguing Maple tops that were once covered up with gold paint. Talented vintage restoration authorities often breathe new life into an old guitar by giving it a bit of the old 'Burst' treatment instead of reestablishing more of the Goldtop aesthetic, and we're celebrating that approach here! This City Limits forgoes the more traditional humbucker and ABR-1 and Stopbar configuration for a more old-school wraparound bridge/tailpiece and P90 setup. Keeping some of the appointments to a more dressed-down level - like dot inlays and an unbound peghead - pulls in some inspiration from the great 50s Les Pa
