But spend time with say, a Fender Esquire or Gibson Les Paul Jr. and you'll likely walk away with the same feeling / conclusion. Single pickup guitars possess some magic that their twin pickup cousins just, for whatever reason, don't. Why? Part of it, to us, is that you just play. The tone you're able to achieve is 100% in your hands, literally. It's simpler. It's direct. Responsive. Dynamic. Alive.
