Gibson Victory Figured Top Iguana Burst
A cult-classic 1980s Gibson brought back to life! This is the new Gibson Victory Flame Top finished in Iguana Burst. The Victory was first introduced in 1981 and clearly Gibson's nod to the 'hot-rodded' double-cut guitars of the era which were so popular. There were two models available: the Victory MVII and the MVX: the MVII featured two Tim Shaw-designed humbuckers and a rosewood fretboard with a 3-way switch while the MVX featured a HSH pickup configuration with a 5-way switch and ebony fretboard. The newly refreshed Gibson Victory is a sort of split between the two original models: it features an AA-grade flame top over a mahogany body with a SlimTaper profile mahogany neck and an ebony fretboard. The pickups are two Gibson 80s Tribute humbuckers and they're individually able to be split via the push-pull volume and tone controls. The new Gibson Victory is also built with a 25.5" scale length - perfect for players who want a bit more string tension and stability for lower tuning
