It's a Grand Pacific built of torrefied spruce for the top with layered rosewood for the back and sides. It's voiced with Taylor's own C-Class bracing to enhance overall response, but especially in the low-end frequencies. The 217e is a beautiful and bold guitar with a black pickguard, Italian acrylic inlays and black binding.
