Common Loon Patch

These incredible swimmers and divers – a “veritable avian submarine” as the American Bird Conservancy puts it – are an unforgettable fixture of the northern forest in summertime. Their eerie, mournful calls are the soundtrack of wilderness nights, and their red eye, white necklace, and black-and-white checkerboard back make them unmistakable on large woodland lakes in the breeding season.  All embroidered bird patches have an iron-on backing, but the adhesive is temporary. For durability, we recommend sewing or using a permanent, flexible fabric glue. Dimensions: 3.1" wide x 1.2" high.
