Sapphics in the City Candle

NOW A PART OF THE CORE COLLECTION 🌶 Sapphics in the City is inspired by facets of Ingrid’s identity, lesbian pulp fiction and her favorite cocktail, the Clover Club. The fragrance explores what being femme feels like and embodies a reclamation of femininity that isn’t measured by heteronormative standards.   Similar to the way she adorns her body, Ingrid chose every note in this scent intentionally. Peonies represent Ingrid’s past, often fraught relationship with femininity. Muddled raspberries, juniper and lemon give nod to the Clover Club – a drink once reserved for wealthy white men, that fell out of fashion when it was perceived as being feminine. Thai rose apple (ชมพู่ or "chompoo") incorporates her Southeast Asian heritage and represents the entwined nature of culture and identity.
