Steinberg, one of the most celebrated artists in The New Yorker’s history, created this drawing in 1969, for a publicity campaign that celebrated a simple truth: that our publication is “a magazine for people who read.” Fair enough. But, thanks to contributors like Steinberg, the drawings and covers have always been a central attraction, too. Dimensions: 14 inches x 22 inches. Materials: 80-lb. pure white cover. Unframed.
