Veak x The Object Enthusiast - Mug No. 4

The first collaboration between Kansas City-based ceramic artists, Sarah Veak and Emily Reinhardt consists of four different mug styles, each of which were made by Sarah, and glazed by Emily. These mugs are a unique blend of their artistic styles as well as their friendship. The speckled stoneware mugs have Sarah's signature uniformity and precision from her many years of experience as a functional potter, while also embracing the more organic and improvisational, one-of-a-kind feel represented heavily in Emily's work. They each got to do their favorite part of the process and it's evident in the finished mugs.  Mug No. 4 - about 4 inches tall, speckled stoneware clay glazed white on the inside and a light beige-colored handle, with stripes of green, cream, and light blue glazes in horizontal stripes with a big square of light brown glaze. The colors have a lot of variation and drip in some spots.  The mug holds about 12 ounces. View more of Sarah Veak's work here!
