The K2 mattress is a two-sided natural mattress that is chemical-free and has no harmful flame retardants.  The K2 has a firmer side for younger children transitioning from a crib and a softer side for older children (age 10+).  There is a layer of natural Talalay latex that provides additional cushioning on the softer side.
