Clarify Your Goals and Priorities.   A notebook isn’t just a place to record facts; it’s where we store the stories, the laughs, and the surprises that come with nature’s unpredictability. Last weekend, I visited Brenda’s yard, hoping to capture some wildlife moments. I didn’t expect the cold, windy conditions to make it a challenge, but that didn’t stop me from hoping for a good shot. When I saw the Blue Heron in the distance, I prayed it would land where I had my camera aimed. It circled the pond, pied massively, and then—hilarious—it landed! But then things got interesting. While I was shooting the Canada Goose, the Heron swooped in. As I turned my camera, the Goose—seemingly a little jealous—started honking and gabbled at me as if to say, "Hey! That’s my spotlight!"
