Bird Lover Gift: Blue Heron

This incredible moment is a perfect gift for anyone who appreciates the humor and unpredictability of nature. During a visit to Brenda’s yard, I had the chance to meet a blue heron who enjoys hanging out there. It was a cold and windy day, but as I spotted the heron in the distance, I hoped it would land where I was aiming. To my delight, it circled the pond, pied massively, and then landed—what a sight! Hahaha! As I was photographing the Canada Goose in the yard, the heron arrived, and I quickly turned my camera toward it. But in what felt like a moment of jealousy, the Canada Goose started honking at the very spot I was aiming, almost as if it were protesting! The blue heron, clearly offended, took off and flew away. It was a hilarious sequence of events! I also got to meet a Belted Kingfisher that day—such a tiny, energetic little bird!
