Two couples of Canada geese arrived on the other side of the lake. I was hesitant about setting up my 200 - 600 Sony lens. They were very far away, and when you get closer to birds, they tend to fly away. But I forgot my book and the temptation was so big I couldn’t resist. I’m pleased I started walking towards them with my camera.  I was approaching them slowly. I took several steps, kneeled, took a few photos and videos, and kept moving closer. The Canada geese saw me coming. The male was agitated. It kept looking back and honking at his mate.  Every time he looked back at he, she was like I’m sorry, dude. She was just taking it. Usually, the ice is gone in April, but this spring was different. I think he was upset because they arrived and we still have ice on top of the lake.  I wish I could understand what was going on, why he was so upset.
