Light of Spring | Experimental Imagery

Special Artist’s Note: “Light of Spring” is part of an experimental project made using a combination of digital drawing in Adobe Photoshop, an AI generated base layer made with Adobe Firefly, and traditional acrylic painting on canvas. Adobe Firefly is generally regarded as a safe and ethical AI tool, because all images used to train the model are fully licensed with compensation paid to contributing artists.  The project started as my attempt to determine if it is possible for a Christian artist to harmonize traditional artistic techniques with new technology to create art that glorifies God. However, the project took on greater significance as I saw debates and controversies unfold in the Christian art world.  After a great deal of prayer and research, I’m stepping out in faith with “Light of Spring” to call for unity and a renewed focus on the gospel in the Christian art community.
