Suula Crayon

Set of 6 highly tinted crayons of raw beeswas and mineral pigments (soil). Each crayon measures 4" x 3/8" x 3/8". Size of case 4 3/8" x 3 3/8". Case includes a label with information about the crayons and origins of the pigments. Inspired by the beauty, diversity and deep history of Mexico lands, Suula developed this series to honor it's landscapes. The manual processes involved in extracting the colors from the soils are slow and laborious: each pigment is collected, washed, ground and sieved until they obtain a fine powder that is the base of the crayons. Suula's production is in small batches: all the steps of the processes are handmade keeping a conscious colleciton of the raw materials used and how they handle and transform them. Each series of crayons is a unique 6-color palette and the cases are numbered. The colors origins are on the label included.
