Red Janice is hardneck Turban garlic that originates from Narazeni, a village about 20 miles from the Black Sea in the Republic of Georgia. Bulbs produce 5-9 cloves with purple/red wrappers. Plants mature later than other Turban hardnecks and bulbs have good storage capacity. The cloves are exceptionally fragrant, starts hot when raw, and deepens and lingers on the palate, leaving a strong aftertaste. Grown by Cacia Huff at Feral Farm, Applegate Valley, Oregon. Certified organic.
