Young and old have all imagined themselves at least once in Neil Armstrong’s space suit, jumping around the moon in the interstellar night. Movies such as "A Space Odyssey" or "Interstellar" have kept this fantasy alive in the popular imagination, as have Elon Musk’s SpaceX projects, the explorations of new terrains by Mars Rover and NASA. They seem to bring us a little closer to that elusive dream. S.T. Dupont pays attention to the smallest details using natural lacquer and palladium finishes to make these everyday objects unique. For this original design, the designers and engineers at S.T. Dupont were inspired by the galaxy, past and current space missions, rocket design and space suits. Every item is presented in prestigious black lacquered boxes and the collector set comes in a packaging reminiscent of the galaxy. Inspired by the magic of space, the Prestige Collection is intended as an ode to the Milky Way. Every detail has been designed to achieve absolute refinement, thanks to natural lacquer, palladium, and micro-engravings. On the rocket-shaped writing instruments, a galaxy effect is given to the natural lacquer with the use of a pearlescent spray on a black background and an iridescent spot of glittery lacquer. These pieces are crowned by a globe in transparent glitter-sprinkled resin. The Prestige writing kit is issued in 399 numbered editions. The writing set comes with a base recalling the launch pad of a rocket before take-off, and an inkwell in addition to a fountain pen and rollerball grip section.
