In the early 1990s she opened a studio in Budapest, Hungary, to form a team of skilful painters who would work on her collection of hand-painted porcelain. Drawing inspiration from the botanical illustrators of 18th Century Europe, such as Redoute, Hooker, and Ehret, as well as Dutch still-life paintings, Weatherly continues to create unique, timeless designs.
