Written in response to King's outing as Richard Bachman, the book formed the basis for the 1993 film of the same name directed by George Romero. Accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from JSA. New York: Viking, 1989. Publisher's original black paper-covered boards over black cloth spine, lettered and decorated in gilt; pp. [x], 431, [3]. A very good or better copy in a near fine, unclipped dust jacket. Binding remains sturdy and square, light shelfwear and rubbing to boards and spine. Typical toning to pages, else internally clean. Jacket shows just a hint of wear, protected in archival mylar.
