Considered the father of Polish Chasidism, Rav Elimelech of Lizhensk (1717-1786) was born to Reb Eliezer Lipa and Mirel. His father, a successful merchant with a charitable hand, was able to trace his lineage to many righteous people from the generations before including Rashi and King David.
