Fossil Damascus is made by taking several different Damascus pattern remnants and placing them into a canister with powdered steel and forging that into a bar. The resulting steel has a completely unique pattern that cannot be duplicated. The handle of this beautiful knife is a beautiful reddish brown hardwood called Amboyna, a highly sought after burl wood from Southeast Asia.
