This striking image was first created for Air France just after the end of World War II in 1947 by the artist Baudoin. It depicts the overhead view the famous landmark of the Arc de Triomphe that sits majestically at the hub of many famous avenues of Paris. The artist, also reminds the viewer that Paris is the City of Lights by showing the night view from the sky atop the Arc de Triomphe. This particular version of the poster was issued in 1962 as it shows a jet flying in the lower right corner whereas the previous version in 1947 showed a propeller plane.
