Keep Him Flying - Large
Georges Schreiber (1904-1977) highlights the danger and bravery needed for members of the US Air Force in this 1943 war bond poster. An airman looks towards the sky as he prepares to jump into his warplane, marked with many Rising Sun patches that indicate downed Japanese aircrafts. The message here is clear - donate to the war effort by buying war bonds to help keep him fighting for the USA. Belgian-born Schreiber was employed by the US Army and Navy during WWII to document scenes from the war alongside his colleague and friend, Thomas Hart Benton. He is highly regarded for his paintings from the American Scene movement. His works are part of many important musuem collections around the world. This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.
