Paris A Londres - Pal

This poster features an elegantly dressed French lady carrying a basket full of fruits. While the artist used painterly strokes for her dress, the fruits and vegetables were carefully portrayed to capture all the details to create a colorful and delicious graphic. As the text reminds us, this poster was created to promote the Western railway in conjunction with Brighton Rail to deliver produce from Paris a Londres, or "Paris to London". The train departed from St Lazare Station in Paris and went through Rouen, Dieppe, and Newhaven.
